Provider independence

Provider independence means the governance, execution, validation, and memory layers do not depend on a specific AI vendor. DevAware OS is compatible-by-architecture: it routes to a user-installed open-source local runtime or to cloud providers through the user's own keys.

Independence is a design choice against lock-in. No provider is bundled, endorsed, or required; the user owns every provider relationship and can change it without leaving the workspace.
