your idea → real software, in your control

The control layer between you and the AI that writes your code.

AI can build the app you've been imagining. DevAware OS is the desktop app that keeps it honest — you describe what you want in plain language, it turns that into working code, and it checks every step so nothing breaks behind your back. Powerful for engineers, approachable if you've never written a line.

Build with AI — and actually stay in control.

where it goes wrong · 1

The AI gets it wrong.

It makes up files that don't exist, breaks things that already worked, skips the checks, and proudly says "done" when it isn't — with no memory of how your project is supposed to work.

where it goes wrong · 2

Or the instructions get messy.

Typed in a hurry: vague goals, "just fix everything", conflicting asks, quick patches that hide the real problem. The AI can't tell the difference — it just amplifies the mess.

What you can build.

Real software, described in your own words. You bring the idea; DevAware OS does the building — under your control.

  • A web app or site

A booking page, a landing site, a small tool — described in plain words, then built and checked for you.

  • An internal tool

A dashboard or workflow for your team, without hiring a developer for every little change.

  • Your first MVP

Turn the idea you've been sitting on into something real you can put in front of people.

How it feels, in three steps.

No setup rituals, no code. (Engineers — the full six-stage detail is on how it works.)

  1. 1

    Say what you want

Type it in plain language — “add a login page”, “make a booking form”. No special format.

  2. 2

It builds it under your control

The AI does the work on your computer, inside the limits you set — and pauses for your OK before anything risky.

  3. 3

    You get working software

It runs the checks and gives you a one-click undo for every change, so mistakes never stick.

You stay in control.

DevAware OS is in active development (pre-1.0). We'd rather show you exactly how it keeps you in control than wave a badge around.

  • Runs on your computer

Your project and its memory stay on your machine. A cloud AI only ever sees what you choose to send it.

  • Secret masking

There's a mechanism designed to mask passwords and keys from the AI by default. What you share stays your decision.

  • No built-in telemetry

The app doesn't send us usage analytics. What you build is your business, not ours.

  • You approve risky steps

Anything that could change or delete your files waits for your yes — it never runs behind your back.

Two bills, kept separate — no surprises.

You pay one subscription for the DevAware OS app. The AI itself (if you use a cloud one) is billed by that provider, on your own plan, at their price — we never mark it up or hide it. Prefer free? A local AI runs on your computer at no per-use cost. See the pricing.

Frequently asked.

Is DevAware OS local-first?
Yes. The desktop application runs locally; project memory is local; the local lane talks only to the user's machine. Cloud lanes require user-supplied API keys or OAuth, and only the prompt content you route to the chosen provider is sent under that provider's terms.
Is this another IDE clone or chatbot?
No. DevAware OS is not a chatbot, not an IDE clone, not a terminal skin, and not only a local model launcher. It is a controlled pipeline between human intent and AI execution, on the user's own machine, paired with a unified workspace.
What is DevAware OS?
DevAware OS is a local-first AI development operating layer and unified command center. It runs a governed pipeline — Intent, Governance, Clean Prompt, Controlled Execution, Validation, Compact Memory — across a unified workspace that includes chat, terminals, preview, browser inspection, file tree, Git, and a local model runtime, on the user's own machine.
