Execution lane

An execution lane is the path a single request takes to a model. DevAware OS exposes three: a local lane backed by a user-installed open-source runtime, a BYO-key cloud lane that uses your own provider API key, and an OAuth CLI lane that consumes your own provider plan through a supported CLI.

The lane is the user's choice, per request — local-first by default, cloud only when routed there. DevAware OS does not bundle, resell, or subsidize any provider's usage; each lane bills to the user under that provider's terms.
